Roger Robert was the mayor of Landrecies from
1945 to 1947, but he had also been the leader of the Resistance movement in the
Avesnois region during the war. This little monument was built on his
initiative. It pays tribute to all of the local Resistance members who were
killed here or in concentration camps. Ce modeste monument,
